To release

Pull the lever 3 upwards slightly, press button 2 and lower the lever to the floor.

The warning light 2_ALL_026_1_pictogramme.png on the instrument panel will go out.

The red warning light will light up on the instrument panel, accompanied by a beep along with the message « Parking Brake ON », if you are driving with an incorrectly released handbrake at speeds over 12 mph (20 km/h).

To apply

Pull lever 3 upwards and make sure the vehicle is immobilised. The warning light 2_ALL_026_1_pictogramme.png on the instrument panel will come on.

Sloped Parking

When parking on a slope, depending on the slope and/or vehicle load, it may be necessary to pull up the handbrake atleast two extra notches.

When parking on a slope, in road conditions such as mud, sand, snow or ice, movement of the vehicle may be possible. Steer the wheel so that the vehicle comes to rest against a robust element (pavement etc.).

Make sure that the handbrake is properly released when driving (red indicator light off), otherwise overheating, or even damage, may occur.

tip

Make sure that the hand brake is applied always whenever the vehicle is in charging condition.

In the event an impact to the underside of the vehicle (e.g. : striking a post, raised kerb or other street furniture) this may result in damage to the vehicle (e.g. : twisted axle), the electrical circuit or the traction battery.

Do not touch the circuit elements or any fluids or liquids.
