Front Windscreen wiper

With the ignition on, move stalk 1 around the steering wheel (depending on vehicle) :

A

One time Mist removal function.

B

Park.

C

Intermittent wiping (depending on the vehicle) - The wipers will pause for several seconds between sweeps.

D

Continuous slow wipe.

E

Continuous fast wipe.

Front Windscreen washer

With the ignition on, pull stalk 1 towards you (depending on the vehicle).

A brief pull will trigger a single sweep of the wipers, in addition to the windscreen washwer.

A longer pull will trigger multiple sweeps of the wipers, in addition to the windscreen washer, until stalk 1 is released. When the stalk is released, the wipers will complete three additional sweeps followed, a few seconds later, by a fourth.

If you switch off the ignition before switching off the windscreen wiper (position B) the blades will stop at random on the windscreen. After switching the ignition back on, simply move stalk 1 to position B to place the windscreen wipers in the park position.

When working in the engine compartment, ensure that the windscreen wiper stalk is in position B (park).

Efficiency of a wiper blade

Check the condition of the wiper blades. How long they last depends on you :

  • it must remain clean : clean the blade and the screen regularly with soapy water ; ;
  • do not use it when the screen is dry ;
  • free it from the screen when it has not been used for a long time.

In all cases, replace it as soon as it begins to lose efficiency : approximately once a year Wiper blades: replacement

Precaution for using the wipers

  • In freezing or snowy weather conditions, clear the screen before starting the wipers (risk of wiper motor overheating);
  • ensure that no objects are obstructing the travel of the blade.

With the ignition on, turn the end of stalk 1 to align the symbol with mark 2.

Special feature

The rear screen is wiped once if reverse gear is selected when the windscreen wipers are in operation or have been turned off within the previous two minutes Wiper blades: replacement.

With the ignition on, turn the end of stalk 1 to align the symbol with mark 2.

When released, it returns to the rear screen wiper position.

warning

Before any action involving the windscreen (washing the vehicle, de-icing, cleaning the windscreen, etc.) return stalk 1 to position B (park).

Risk of injury and/or damage.

Do not use the wiper arm to open or close the tailgate.

Do not try to lift the wiper blades. They cannot remain detached from the windscreen. To replace the

Before using the rear wiper, check that no object is obstructing the travel of the blade.

In frosty weather, make sure that the wiper blade is not stuck by ice (risk of motor overheating).

Keep an eye on the condition of the blades. They should be replaced as soon as they become less efficient.
