When you use voice recognition using smartphone replication, you use your phone's Internet connection, which is subject to charges and limitations imposed by your mobile operator.

When your smartphone is connected to the multimedia system via the Bluetooth® connection or via smartphone replication, you can use some voice recognition functions that will enable you to access the domains and applications available on your smartphone while keeping your hands on the steering wheel.

Note: when you wish to use your smartphone's voice recognition system with the multimedia system, ensure that:

  • your smartphone is equipped with a voice recognition function that is compatible with your multimedia system;
  • you are located in an area with network coverage.

Main functions controlled by your smartphone's voice recognition system

The functions used by voice recognition depend on the smartphone and the apps themselves.

The voice recognition can be used to access the following smartphone applications and domains:

  • Phone
  • Navigation
  • Music
  • ...

Activation

You can activate voice recognition:

  • byBluetooth®;

or

  • by replication, from the "Replication" World .

Note: when activating voice recognition, always wait for an audible confirmation to sound before speaking, then state your request.

Example of voice commands:

  • linked to the phone:

    • "Call José";
    • "Call the office";
    • ...

  • linked to navigation:

    • "Go to Champs-Élysées in Paris";
    • "Go home";
    • ...

Activating voice recognition by Bluetooth®

Connect your smartphone to the multimedia system by using the Bluetooth® connection.

To use your smartphone's voice recognition, press steering wheel control 1 and you will hear a beep indicating that voice recognition has been activated.

Activating voice recognition during replication

Connect your smartphone to the multimedia system using the smartphone replication.

To use your smartphone's voice recognition, press:

  • by briefly pressing the voice recognition button on the steering wheel control 2 in your vehicle;

or

  • by pressing the voice recognition button 3 from the "Replication" World ;

or

  • by pronouncing the voice command:
    • "Ok Google" or "Hey Google", from the "Android Auto™" replication ;

      or

    • "Dis Siri" or "Say Siri", from the "CarPlay™" replication .
